My 16 year old cat had her stairway to heaven since she was a kitten. She was without it for a year while we were out of our home. When we returned home, even though she has other (sorry Scott!) cat furniture in front of every window in this house, she headed straight for the stairway to heaven and if anyone would so much as dare to look at her while she was nestled in a hammock, this normally loving and affectionate cat would let out a growl and if their gaze didn't go away quick enough or if she was approached, she would hiss and growl. I can't help but wonder how many times she tried to ask me where the %$*# her stairway was!!
